How to Block Roblox on PC, Mac, iPhone and Android

Block Roblox on PC, Mac, iPhone and Android, or only on school nights. Roblox parental controls, what a network block stops, and the console gap.

Who blocks Roblox, and why

Roblox is mostly associated with kids, but plenty of adults search this too: people who lose evenings to it, people building their own Roblox experiences who need a hard stop at bedtime, and parents worried about chat, spending and unmoderated experiences. Whichever you are, Roblox runs on phones, tablets, computers and consoles, so a block on one device simply moves the habit to another.

Free method: Roblox's own parental controls

For a child's account, Roblox lets a parent link their own account and manage settings from it.

  1. Sign in to the child's account, open Settings → Parental Controls and link a parent account.
  2. From the parent account, set content maturity limits, restrict or turn off chat, set spending limits and, where available, daily screen-time limits.

These controls are useful but only govern that one account. A second account, made in minutes, starts with none of them. For adults restricting themselves they do nothing at all.

Block Roblox with NoorI

  1. Enroll every device that has Roblox with the free Cloudflare One app (Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android). Start with the quick start guide.
  2. In Content Policy, create a rule and add the Roblox app. It covers roblox.com, the rbxcdn.com content servers and robloxlabs.com.
  3. Optionally attach a schedule, for example blocked Sunday to Thursday after 20:00, or during school or work hours.
  4. Open Roblox on each device and confirm it cannot connect.

Because Roblox is entirely online, a network block stops it completely on enrolled devices: no login, no experiences, no chat, regardless of which account is used. Blocking apps by name requires Pro ($9.99/month, 7-day free trial).

Do not forget the browser and the "Roblox-likes"

When Roblox stops loading, the habit often moves sideways: browser game portals, other sandbox games or YouTube channels about Roblox. If that happens, widen the rule rather than playing whack-a-mole:

  • Add Poki and other browser-game sites from the Gaming app list.
  • Add Minecraft or Epic Games if those are the next stop.
  • On Pro, consider Cloudflare's broader Gaming category (part of the Maximum preset) for a clean break.
  • Check the Activity log after a week to see which game domains are still being requested.

Side effects and gaps

  • Consoles: Xbox, PlayStation and other consoles cannot run the Cloudflare One app. Use the console's family settings or router filtering for those.
  • Roblox Studio also stops working, since it uses the same services. If you develop on Roblox, use a schedule rather than a permanent block.
  • Related sites: YouTube and Discord are where many Roblox communities live. Block those separately if they are part of the loop.

Making the block stick

For an adult: turn on Guardian Mode so removing the Roblox rule or pausing filtering needs your accountability partner's approval plus a delay of at least 4 hours. For a child: use the Family plan's per-child rules so only their devices are affected, and see bypass-proof parental controls for locking the phone itself, such as Android's Always-on VPN and iOS's Don't Allow for deleting apps.

Frequently asked questions

Does blocking Roblox work if my child makes a new account?

Yes. A network block stops the Roblox service on that device regardless of which account is used, unlike in-app parental controls.

Can I allow Roblox only at weekends?

Yes. Add a schedule to the Roblox rule so it is blocked on weekdays and open at weekends. Scheduling needs Pro or Family.

Can I block Roblox on Xbox with NoorI?

No. NoorI runs on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android through the Cloudflare One app. Use Xbox family settings or router DNS filtering for consoles.
