How to Set Up NoorI on iPhone

Connect your NoorI account and enroll an iPhone in about five minutes — no Cloudflare account required.

What you'll need

A NoorI account, an iPhone running iOS 15 or later, and about five minutes. You do not need a Cloudflare account, an API key, or any technical setup on your end — NoorI handles all of that automatically the moment you connect.

Step 1: Connect your NoorI account

Log into your NoorI dashboard and go to Settings → Cloudflare, then click Connect. This provisions a private filtering location for your account behind the scenes — it takes about 30 seconds and there is nothing for you to configure.

Once connected, your dashboard will show a Zero Trust team name. You will need this in Step 3, and NoorI gives you a copy button for it so you never have to type it out.

Step 2: Install the Cloudflare One app

Search "Cloudflare One" on the App Store, or open Devices → Add device in your NoorI dashboard for a direct link. This is the small background app that carries your iPhone's traffic through your NoorI filtering rules — it is a free, official Cloudflare app, not something NoorI publishes itself.

Step 3: Enroll your device

Open the app and follow these steps:

  1. When asked for an organization name, paste the team name you copied from your NoorI dashboard.
  2. Sign in with the same email address you used to register on NoorI. This is what links the device to your rules — a different email means your policies will not apply.
  3. Enter the one-time code emailed to you. It comes from Cloudflare, not NoorI, so check spam if it does not arrive within a minute or two.
  4. Allow the VPN configuration prompt iOS shows you — this is what lets the app route DNS queries through your filter.

Step 4: Install the NoorI certificate

This step is what makes blocked sites show NoorI's actual block page instead of a generic "can't connect" error. From your NoorI dashboard, go to Devices → Download certificate, open the downloaded profile, and follow these two stops:

  1. Settings → General → VPN & Device Management — install the downloaded profile.
  2. Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings — toggle full trust on for the NoorI certificate.

Both steps are required — installing the profile alone is not enough for iOS to trust it.

Step 5: Verify it worked

Open Safari and visit cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace. Look for two lines near the bottom:

  • warp=on — your device traffic is tunneling correctly
  • gateway=on — your NoorI rules are actively being enforced

If both say "on", you're protected. Go back to your NoorI dashboard and set up your first content policy if you have not already.

Didn't get the login code

Check spam/promotions first — these emails come from Cloudflare and sometimes land there on the first send. If you've requested it a few times quickly, wait 30 minutes; the address may be temporarily rate-limited.

gateway=off even though warp=on

Open Cloudflare One, toggle the connection off and back on. If it still shows off, double-check the organization name you entered matches your NoorI team name exactly — a typo here silently fails.
